Ahh, I love spring!!!!

Spring gives us a wonderful chance for a fresh start – a blank canvass. It gives us purpose to breathe life into new creations. Begin new projects with endless possibilities.

It's a new season, a new collection, so let's get to work.
I feel great, I am ready and I am going to have fun with it!!

Today's Challenges

Artists face a particular set of professional challenges. It is the nature of the field... we often work alone... We struggle with our creative genius and we regularly face criticism. We strive to achieve success in our profession and at the same time we need to stay motivated in the process.

How do I stay positive while dealing with real issues such as working in isolation, staying focused and motivated? How do I deal with the inevitable concept of work-related criticism by juries? How do I deal with this highly self-critical self of mine?

Happy 2011 to everyone!!!

We need to appreciate the simple things in life... My only wishes for this year are very simple... All I am wishing for is a healthy body and mind... above all for His guidance, to help me be kind to others and wise as I walk through my life path.

When we believe, we are blessed and when we are blessed happiness and prosperity comes along.

National Gallery, London, UK, October 2010

The visit to the National Gallery was amazing. We were able to see work from the 13th to the 20th cantury of some of the most admired artists... Michelangelo, Raphael, Diego Velazquez, El Greco, Vincent van Gogh, Gogan, Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Rembrandt..... I can't even remember them all... All I know is that I didn't want to leave. What a wonderful experience to share with my daughter, Niki.

Something New

Well as time goes by I find myself trying different things... Now I am beginning to enjoy Autumn scenes and I am in my third one... Maybe its the time of the year, maybe it's because the rain feels so clean, as if it takes away some of the dust of the warm summer winds....
Maybe I just want the fall to last longer as we approach our cold and heavy winter.
